CHALLENGE

Help people find more of what they love on Yelp.

SOLUTION

Present personalization with clear, human, non-jargon language.

Pull focus from Yelp towards empowering users.

Add delight and clarity to the experience of adding preferences.

WHAT I DID

  • Collaborated with designers and product managers to articulate the benefit, determine the information architecture and tone, and align on key messages.

  • Developed new copy for testing, iterated based on user feedback, and delivered a matrix of copy for the personalization experience from entry to end point.

  • Oversaw curation and creation of 100s of in-app header cards, banner ads, and more to bring awareness of the new feature to users.

  • Edited additional copy for clarity, experience, and tone of voice. Oversaw and helped develop content for the product launch on Yelp’s social channels across the U.S. and Canada.
