Blackpool: Timelapse Experiments
A million years ago, my friend and I had this idea for a timelapse: set off at sunset, but head west quickly enough that the sunset would last the whole drive. We knew that we'd never be able to face the sun for the entire journey, but there were these question marks about how the light might look. Would the sunset feel like an eternity? Could we even chase it fast enough? We endeavoured to check it out.
Alas, as with many great intentions, the evening we allocated to road trip was awful. But, f*ck it. We set off anyway, grabbed a last minute hotel, and changed tack: instead, we decided to lengthen the shutter speed as we got closer and closer to our destination. This sparked a bunch of ideas.
Part 1: The whole journey compiled into a two minute video.
Part Two: Coming soon.
All new trailer for 2020. This version is trimmed, colour corrected, and even features motion text. The real kicker? A dedicated :60 piece of music, just for this cut. Enjoy the nightmare.
About a million years ago, a few of us decided to set up some video challenges just to stretch our skills. This is the result of the music video challenge.
When you forget to tell everyone else that the camera's set to take several pics and you're the only one who moves. This.
I had this idea to play around with stop motion: I took a bunch of stills to make a Matrix-style time lapse... obviously, this is not the Matrix. But, it was fun.
I had a little idea and a whole lot of mouth, inspired by a very strange but excellent friend I had at uni. Excuse the spit strings and bad clown tears.
It was autumn. There were leaves. We have feet. It's a really rather silly exploration of walking.
